Central AHU

Swegon GOLD offers a perfect air handling unit for centralised ventilation in apartment buildings meeting all the requirements for airflow, draft and noise levels. GOLD offers best in the class energy efficiency and reduced embodied carbon due to the use of recycled materials

Preconfigured GOLD air handling units have been test-run at the factory and each unit includes a factory-installed automation system (sensors, software, wiring). The user interface is clear and easy to use, and it can be accessed via the unit’s local control panel, a computer, or a mobile device.

An open automation system enables data to be integrated into a Building Management System (BMS). with standard communication protocols such as Modbus RTU/TCP or BACnet.

Unique ability to refurbish and upgrade the unit in the field, substantially prolonging the unit’s lifetime and saves both time, resources and CO2 emissions.

Central air handling unit can also be complemented with other Swegon air handling units, such as GLOBAL and CASA, to cover specific areas detached from residential area, such as common spaces or combined commercial areas in the same building.

Integrated cooling

COOL DX cooling unit is an integrated accessory designed for the GOLD air handling unit. All components are housed within the unit. The COOL DX can be connected directly to the GOLD unit or installed separately in connection with the air handling unit.

The COOL DX is based on a closed circuit with a low refrigerant charge.
Cooling integrated into the air handling unit is simple to design, easy to install, and a cost-effective investment for cooling apartments.

The GOLD air handling unit comes equipped with built-in cooling functions for controlling and regulating the COOL DX unit.

GOLD RX/HX is all-in-one air handling unit with rotary heat and reversible heat pump. The result is fresh air, heating and cooling in a slimline and energy-efficient design. Planning is simplified by the fact that we have already done the integration between the heat pump and the air handling unit for you mechanically and in terms of control. Installation is simplified if you opt to have the unit factory pre-filled, tested and ready to run. The unit is also available in a version for cooling only and is then called GOLD RX/C.

Cooling and heating modules

CASA CLIMATE CCF is a waterborne comfort module that in central system is connected to GOLD air handling unit and the buildings hydronic circuit. It provides fresh supply air, heating and cooling to the apartment. Each apartment can have several room units depending on the need. CCF uses the heating and cooling energy from ground source or district heating/cooling to provide energy-efficient climatization with individual temperature control for each room.

Cooker hoods and pressure balance

Cooker hoods have an essential role in the air quality inside apartments, as they remove odours, fumes, particles, heat, humidity and airborne grease that are created in kitchen during cooking.

CASA Central cooker hoods are connected to central ventilation system and provide an excellent odour catching capacity, which means they remove more fumes with lower air flow. This enables better air quality with less fan power, less energy consumption and lower sound level.

CHB balancing unit enables compensation of negative pressure caused by cooker hood boost and basic air flow.
Control damper opens and closes automatically based on a position signal from the cooker hood.

Sound atennuation

Efficient sound attenuation ensures a peaceful home environment by minimizing noise from ventilation systems — so every room feels calm, quiet, and comfortable.

Swegon’s acoustic products combine a high level of sound attentuation, low pressure drops and compact sizes. This together saves fan energy, easens the design phase of the project, allows easier installation and enables a silent and comfortable indoor environment.
